Sajid Javid's Response To A No Deal Brexit

The chancellor Sajid Javid has given his word to provide “a significant economic policy” if a no-deal Brexit were to arise out of the current EU negotiations. This could mean tax cuts which will help lessen the impact of such a Brexit turnout. Javid shall set out plans for infrastructure investment.

Shadow health secretary Jon Ashworth said that he was "prepared and ready in Parliament to respond to anything that comes out of Downing Street". The idea of a no-confidence vote in Parliament was also brought up by the SNP, with plans to hold it this week.

Together with this, like many other forecasters Mr Javid proclaimed that “I don't think anyone really knows a full proper answer to that question”. However, Jackson Carlaw, the interim leader for the Scottish Conservatives stated his opposition to a prolonged Brexit delay. Additionally, Mr Carlaw, as followed by his predecessor Ruth Davidson, denounced his opposition to no deal Brexit.
